I decided to create a culture jam of Kylie Cosmetics, a makeup brand created by celebrity Kylie Jenner of the famous Kardashian/ Jenner family. Kylie is the youngest of the Kardashian/ Jenner sisters and at the age of 17, she started making her lips fuller by using lip filler injections. By the age of 19, she looks almost unrecognizable and much older than the average 19-year-old because of plastic surgeries/ products that modify her body. Because Jenner is one of the most popular celebrities of this generation, she has influenced maybe young women to go under the knife, get lip injections, or buy her lipsticks and glosses to make their lips look like hers.

Lip surgeries have also increased within the past year. With this information in mind, I decided to use the Kylie Cosmetics logo and website as a template for my culture jam. I decided to use the website as the medium that my culture jam logo was presented to reference young woman searching online for the best “deals” on cosmetic surgeries. In fact, there is no such thing as inexpensive quality cosmetic surgeries. The culture jam is critiquing the unrealistic beauty standards that the brand of Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Jenner herself is promoting and critiques plastic surgery scammers as well as youth cosmetic surgery.
